Winter Oddities

Winter Oddities:

The winter has been a little slow in local areas for any kind of obvious sign, others in the region have found some interesting but in my opinion, inconclusive findings. It’s been a mild winter up until now so conditions are good for the potential presence of any potential Sasquatch heading through, although this is offset by the fact it;s been generally mild across the Northeast, so it’s a waiting game for the most part for now.

Some oddities have occurred recently though in one particular half mile stretch of territory in a local area. It’s not anything I intend to present as paranormal or bigfoot related, just odd. The first instance happened three weeks ago at the end of January, and only briefly, but a playing of shadow and sunlight produced an effe[slideshow_deploy id=’308′]ct against my sunglasses that some might attribute to a moving shadowy figure. It was vivid enough for me to stop and do a doubletake, before I dismissed it. There was no object that moved out the immediate vicinity of a few feet, and no other visible sign, but the vividity of it was interesting.

The second instance a week later, oddly in it’s own right, in the same basic half mile of area, and I noticed a dull thud in the distance as I was walking in approximately 5 inches of wet snow. I wasn’t initially sure what the sound was, but after listening it was mimicking my footsteps, and was apparently an echo somehow, which while in shallow snow seems very odd. I tried stomping, I couldn’t reproduce it, only when walking with a normal step. I’ve walked through the area in different seasons and this was the first time for that. Very strange indeed.

Through January there have been sporadic wood knockish sounds, so that also bears mentioning, but as I started out, none of it is conclusive, just makes being out there fun and interesting.
