Myself and three other friends were driving back to Delhi from Oneonta. We took the mountain road as it is a short cut between the two towns. It was about 6pm and we were driving around a sharp bend in the road when my friend who was driving literally slammed on the brakes. We saw a very large hairy creature sitting on a large rock. It looked like it had been eating tree roots. When he heard the car he stood straight up and proceed to cross the road in front of the car, about 10 feet away. It only took about 1 and a half strides for it to get across. As it was crossing it turned for a moment to look at us and grunted. It proceed down a very steep/deep ravine and disapeared into the trees.

Assigned Investigator:

Mike Humphrey

Priority Level::

Historical – Over 10 Years

Time and Place: Year: 1995 Month: October Day of Month (number only – e.g. 16): 25 Time of Day: 6pm County: New York Delaware Conditions: Terrain Description: Deep wooded, rocky, steep hills and ravines, mainly pine trees Lighting Conditions: Fairly dark Nearest Town or Landmark: Oneonta and Delhi college GPS Coordinates: none Description of Encounter […]

[32
