\nDescription of Encounter Area: Near dusk, hiking on Brink Road, above Millbrook Village, we heard
\nknocking on the ridge above us. It sounded deliberate, hard and clear. Everything in the surrounding woods became very quiet, we stood for a few minutes just listening, then we decided to head back out to the main road and our vehicle. While walking back uphill we started to smell a stench that was like bad septic. We did not smell any odor other than woods on the way down the road.
