Terrain Description: Woodlands Mixed with Defined Paths for Farming Equipment.
\nSmall Riverside Cornfields of non-developed community. Freshwater stream and spring ponds nearby.
\nOff of path in moderate growth and went into the deep woods, following along a small freshwater
\nstream. Grass\/Leaves\/Dense Briars\/Oak\/Maple\/Pine Trees.
\nLighting Conditions: Late Afternoon, Getting Dark, Around Twilight-type Hour
\nNearest Town or Landmark: Westport River West Branch- East Side of Shoreline amongst Heavy
\nTrees A Mile of two up. Paths leading off of a short jetty going into the river.
\nDescription of Encounter Area: On dirt path between woods and cornfield, approaching a clearing by
\nthe river. Came around corner in the shallow woods. Fresh water sources nearby.
\nAre There Food and\/or Water Sources in the Area? (if so, describe): Yes. Salt Water River few
\nhundred yards away. Fresh water runoff streams in the area. Small cornfields in the direct vicinity. Wild\u00a0Berries, Herbs, etc. Cow Pasture about 250 yards away. Sheep fenced in 75 yards away.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nAnimal Description: cited above. Dark in coloration, narrow-shouldered, tall, very fast, blurry to its
\nstartled movement. Did not see the face.

\nAfter passing by a small cornfield, we headed up a hill and around a bend. Heard a crash. There was a\u00a0rapid blur-like figure appearing to be black that had just landed on a thick branch that we later
\ndiscovered to be broken. Since we did the trip on our bikes we came around the corner quickly,
\napparently startling the creature. In a few seconds the narrow-shouldered being had gone into the
\nwoods. And we, back down the path from which we came.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
