Project NE Recon began in 2006 and is phase two of Listening Post, after the establishment of an area base camp, ongoing field work is conducted out these locations under the framework of the second project. Preference is given to the local researcher and/or the person who established the base location, and in the course of the field work it is hoped that presence and activity can be established and followed up on on an ongoing basis.
Update: Between July and September of 2015, 6 additional visits were made and in the course of the Project’s progress additional base camp locations have been located in the greater area expanding the knowledge of the over all area as far as terrain as well as water sources and good locations for tracking.
Next steps: Phase three is currently in the planning stage and involves a series of visits involving tracks and the addition of a streaming trail cam network to record areas that promise potential activity as well.
