Walking dog along northeast gas pipeline from west sturbridge toward brimfield around early evening dusk timeframe. We were on way back from having trekked 1.5 hrs west. We were now going east towards where we parked our car at the end of trail on Holland Rd where the Quinebaug River and Holland Rd intersect. This particular trail is actually part of trail system used for inspection of the buried gas pipeline that runs from western NY to Boston MA and down to Providence RI. We usually see a lot of dear and the occasional bear on this trail system. On our way back my dog was acting skittish and kept stopping and pointing to our rear as if sniffing for something. She even wimpered a few times. I have some across a bear with here and I figured thats what she was detecting. Now bears will normally move out of the area quickly and tgis wasnt the case. For around 40 mins I felt like we were being stalked because of the dogs behavior. So I figured it was coyote, fisher cat or maybe mountain lion. There have been mountain lions sightings in longmeadow MA so I figured this could be a reason. So we started to move faster as I have had to deal with mountains lions when I lived in Colorado and I didnt want to have face off with one alone on the trail in MA. As we moved faster I heard some snapping of twigs and some branches. Which I know a mtn lion would never do. So I thought we might being stalked by another person. In which case I knew we probably couldnt lose them. So me and my dog took off very quickly so that we created the next hill and turn in the trail ahead of whatever was on us. Once I was sure we were clear of their vision I did “box back” military infantry maneuver where we exited the trail went as fast and far as we could perpendicular and then backtracked another 200 yards parallel to trail then moved perpendicular to the trail just before the hilltop where we started running.
It was very dark now and i wanted to just lose whatever was on tail either by letting it pass by us. We waited for what seemed like and hour but was probably only 15 minutes. We could see the trail off in the distance . As we waited I was convinced we had imagined the whole thing. But then my dog started to shake look out into the trail and wimper ever so softly to me. Then as I peered into the growing darkness I saw it: tall as a maine moose, wide as a bear and dark as night with a semi human form. It was slowly moving back along the trail on the ooposite sides treeline. it was Just a few yards in off the trail it was so big that its shear size and its movement sperated it from stationary tree line. It obviously was following us and was now confused as tow where we had gone. But just at the moment it came to where we coukd see it best approximately 150 yards through the treeline it stopped stiff as tree and looked towards the direction we were. it seemd to be sniffing. My dog was freaked and I could hardly keep my hands on her to keeep her quiet. Then thank mother nature it starstarted to rain like crazy Coming down harder and harder. cold and hard rain, visibilty dropped to under 200 feet. I didnt stick around long we moved slowly at first but when I thought we had enoug distance we ran like bill rogers back to the car. Took us 90 mins going through the woods in the rain to get to Holland RD we crissed th river once and had come out 1/4 south of where we were parked. That was it we left as soon as we got to the car. I havent been back since that time.

My husband daughter and I were hiking quabbin….near rattlesnake hill. I walked up the hill a bit and am 100% sure I saw “something” looking at me. Was about 24 or more ft in and was standing on 2 legs near a tree. Quite tall and curious but quiet. I turned to leave quickly just in case it was a bear. But I am still certain I saw a bigfoot.

Walking down back road of Goudnough dike I walked to the lower edge near the swamp and herd loud branch snapping and then stopped to look. At that time I moved twenty feet lower on the road to see what was making the commotion some thirty five yards away from me. It was then that I saw a large black creature moving in the small pines and then I yelled down to it and it stood up and looked at me. It then whistled at me and continued to break branches and rustle the trees. It was then I went to me knees and said out loud there he is . At that moment another one some sixty yards away thumped its chest like a gorilla and hustled through the trees and I saw his legs move in the brush. Two legs bi pedal and black

Year: 1977
Month: December
Time of Day: sundown dusk
County: Massachusetts Worcester
Terrain Description: I’d like to make a report, however it was years ago but I
remember every part pretty well. I told a few folks about this over the years and they think I was nuts.
But doesn’t matter what they think. I was close enough to know what it was. I would say about less than 50 ft. Right in the middle of a fire road. In December 1977, my dad, uncle and my dad’s other friends and myself went up to the cabin owned by a hunters club in Gardner, Mass. We went to spend the night, cook food and my dad and his friends like to play cards after eating supper. Myself and a friend used the snowmobile with a sled attached to the back, we took turns driving the ski doo around and the other would stand on the foot rest on the sled. The area was in northern central Massachusetts, very close to New Hampshire boarder. The cabin is in Ashburnham Mass. It’s about 2.5 miles up a fire road called Old Colony Road. I remember it was a snowy winter that year. The area where we saw this thing was right on the edge of a swamp, old train tracks run right thru the area and crosses the fire road that we used to get to the cabin. It was about 4 p.m. or so, it was just getting a little dark. My friend and I left the cabin with the snowmobile, he was driving first and I was on the foot rest on the sled. We left and came up to the swamp, crossed over the tracks and headed down the road about 50 ft or so. It was getting a little late and we decided to not go to far so we turned the sled around on the road. Had to pick it up because of the narrowness of the road. Once we turned it around it was my turn to drive. So now were facing the tracks and the swamp is on both sides of the road. the road goes right thru the swamp and the tracks cross right by the edge of the swamp. At this point I looked behind me to see if my friend was on the sled and holding on, when I looked up I saw this creature walking on 2 legs like a human. He crossed right by the tracks at the edge of the swamp and crossed the road right in front of us. I remember it looking at us and I remember the arms swing clearly. Just like the pictures I have seen from your site. Very similar. Anyway, I remember the its size, that’s what was scarey, so large, I’d say about 7to 9 ft high, weight about 400 to 500 pounds. At least for something that size it would most likely be heavy. I know the woods there well. I’ve spent years in the military and hunt every year. I have been trained in tracking and survival in the woods so I know what I am saying and what I saw. But the thing took about 2 steps and he was across the road. All black hair, didn’t notice any smells, but I can tell you
this. I won’t forget that day ever. It was cold anyway and with no breeze the smell of it wouldn’t travel
far. My friend was shocked. He won’t even mention it when I see him these days. He told one person
and they treated him like he was on drugs. So thats why I never wanted to tell to many people. I wanted to say something about it now because I just say a program on TV the other night about bigfoot and the Kiamichi Mountians, I think in Oklahoma or somewhere out there. I remember one other thing that might be relevant. That being noises I have been hearing over the years in the woods there. Something like a crying sound but so load it almost seemed as if it were close by. I think it was a ways away because when we heard the sounds it was late, about midnight. We sit by the fireplace outside the cabin sometimes late cooking steak or deer meat on the grill. Behind the cabin is a huge swamp area that goes up to Route 12 in Ashburnham, Mass. The swamp is down a bit behind the cabin. We find moose droppings back there and lots of tree scraps from deer. I beleive there passing thru that area at times. Those sounds I heard were never heard there before and I don’t hear them now when I go up there. Every now and then they seem to come back, but only when were outside sitting by the fire. Strange indeed. These woods go far as well and you could easily travel them and end up in New Hampshire or further without seeing a house. As time goes by and the more I read about what other folks saw and the similarities between each story I’m more wanting to do some of my own investigating, but its very scary out there at night, especially for me. I carry a loaded .44 when I’m up there just because I have seen this thing up close enough to know what it was. No doubt in my mind.

Number of Witnesses: 2
Length of Observation: about 2 to 4 minutes, the creature watched us turning a snowmobile around.
then when we were ready to get going we looked up the road we were on and it was standing in the
middle of the road as it passed from the swamp on the left to the right. We both saw it clearly, very
clearly and that image is burned in my mind. Now I have this feeling every time I go up there. even
today I have the little fear. We’ve had many strange sounds and this feeling of being observed while
sitting around the fireplace at night.
Animal Description: Tall 7 to 9 FT tall, my guess on weight was over 500 lbs. so huge in stature and
no neck to speak of, when the animal looked at us it did seem to turn most of the upper torsoe to us. all
hairy and no smell, the wind was going in the other direction. the face was dark but patches of what
look like skin in between hair but mostly all hairy.

Hey guys, I have a report from yesterday from Mt.Tom in Holyoke Ma.about 10:30 a.m. I was walking
one of the trails about half way up the mtn. with my son when we stopped to take a breather and after about 30 seconds or so a rock came down on the trail about 15 ft. away from us, sure freaked me out as there was no one in sight all the while we had been looking, prior to that we had done a couple of knocks and my son tried a call with no response, so after a couple of minutes we continued down the trail, and after about an hour we turned backand as we approached the area of the rock throw, my son noticed a figure in the distanceas i picked up the image it was moving along a small ridge and as we watched it, it had jumped down and turned and was looking back thru at us, i was able to take 2 pictures which i will post of the image, which shows upper torso chest .arms, head, we froze ,not quite sure what to do, then started to proceed towards it as we came upon a opening to where we could get a real good chance to see it up close , it was gone, the original sighting was about fron 150ft away, or closer Guessing, went back this morning and there was no activity , i am planning on going before the snow in the a.m. tomorrow.i always thought they existed but NOW I KNOW THEY ARE OUT THERE !!!!

when i was about 14 my brothers and neighborhood friends of ours decided to go on a camping trip on the edge of Warwick State Park in Royalston Massachusetts. we had fished earlier that day and had caught a few brook trout so that we could “live off the land” that night. we got dropped off at the head of the trail by one of our parents and we hiked a half hour up the trail. it is all up hill leading to a
clearing. we called it the “Land”. my Friend and i built a lean too and my brothers and there friends set up a tent.we sat around the fire till late talking and cooked the fish. late that night we all dozed off . i was in the lean to just in my sleeping bag and my friend was a few feet away.i woke up late that night maybe early morning, to hear trees cracking. everyone woke up . you could here a grunt then trees break and the most memorable for me was the ability to hear and feel stomping. this happened all around us for maybe a hour or more.we were scared shitless! you would here it one minute then a pause then here it again behind us. large branches braking some grunting then stomping.eventually it stopped and we all stayed up completely scared.the next day our parents chalked it up as a moose. as a adult now with lots of woods time under my belt there was no way it was a moose.
this last fall i took my wife and kids to that area to show them the swamp at the base of that same
ridge.we hiked for maybe 45 mins when we got off the trail to cross a swampy area to get to a rocky
steep hillside.as we crossed my wife stops me and shushes me. we stop and clear as day we all hear a long whistle.my wife was freaked out so we turned around and got back on the trail.as we hiked out we looked over our shoulders all the way back to the car. this is all one area that is remote except for the hiking trails and snowmobiles.
