We were watching tv and had the window open behind us. We heard a noise, not sure what it was, my husband went out to check. It sounded like someone walking around the backyard. When my husband got in the backyard, he heard something walking towards him. He had a flashlight, but could see nothing. Then we heard this noise. It was like nothing any of us have ever heard before. It was kind of like a scream, but a controlled scream. It was almost ghostly. It made the hair on the back of your head stand up. My husband could hear it coming towards him, but could not see it, even with the flashlight. He came back in the house. We listened at the window for a while, and it just faded away, like it was moving away. None of us ever forgot it.

I was with a couple friends who owned a camp in Kezarfalls and across the street lived two native
americans, Curtis and Howard. Any old locals could tell you that they were true Indians! Anyway it was morning and the snow was roughly 3ft. We always stopped to check on them prior to going across the road to the camp. Anyway Curtis would always feed the animals in the early morning hours. This one morning he was gathering food for the animals when he heard what sounded like a child crying outside. He went to the door and opened it to find a tall black creature standing there. He said the creature screached then ran off. He slamed the door and was afraid of the “Thing” as he called it. He told his brother Howard who told us he was really afraid of what he saw. These are two old indians who grew up on that road all their lives. They are deceased now but were in their right frame of mind at the time. We did follow the footprints across the road going through the camp we were staying at and through the back up until we reached a mountain then we stopped. Roughly 1 mile behind the camp.

Spoke to the Witness via the phone on 4/20/09 for about 30 minutes. Seemed sincere and recalled some additional details to the situation. – Guy used to make vocals and get responses; thought it was a bear at the time. – mentioned a house at the beginning of the road where people were moving out frequently. They thought it was haunted but, two Native Americans living in the town thought it was something else. Witness recalled a time following 18 inch tracks for a mile near keaser falls, ME, and identical tracks on the opposite side of the lake. This occurred towards the end of winter. Relevant landmarks :
Keiser falls, ME, Fryburg ME, Conway NH, The Kananmangas Mtns and Christmas mountain

One icy morning on the way to work I went off the road with my pickup truck and got stuck. I was about 3 miles from work so I decided to walk the rest of the way. It was very dark, but there was still some oon light out. About 3/4 of a mile from work there is a long dirt road that led to the shop. You could see the shop light on by the building which illuminated the dirt road a little. Just enough for me to see where I was going. As I was walking I could see what appeared to a person walking the opposite direction and heading towards me. It was very dark, but I could tell there was someone there. I was not scared at all, but was curious who this was because it was 4 a.m.. Well, this figure was close enough so that I could hear his foot steps. Eventually we walked right by each other . It was on the other side of the road. All I could make out was his silhouette. Then after it was past me it walked to my side of the road and went straight into the woods. This freaked me out because I thought this was a person, now I’m thinking big foot. Lets just say that I ran the last half mile. What ever it was I never saw it again.

Number of Witnesses: 4
Length of Observation: Brief
Vocalizations Heard?: It began almost laughingly like a hyena or dog and let out a blood curling wail
that I can best describe as similar to some of the Ohio recordings. The vocalization was so load that all of us stopped. All of us were terrified and were in disbelief of what we heard. Nobody could tell what it was. It sounded so completely foreign to anything we could even imagine. We argued over what we heard for a second. My friend could only explain it as perhaps a large bird like a crain. Everyone else had no idea. It was honestly like nothing we had ever heard.
In high school I was with a group of four friends and we were looking for a place to party. We decided to go to a site where we usually hung out on weekends. It was a 1/8 -1/4 mile stretch of gravel road that had been closed for a number of years. There was an old wooden bridge that stretched across a creek. Creek ran north about 5 miles into the Kansas River and south into Olathe Lake. We referred to the place as it was commonly called Dead Man’s Bridge. Rumors circulated that a man had hung himself, another rumor that someone had jumped off the bridge and committed suicide, and lastly that a group of campers had been brutally murdered in their tents in the area. However, where the name originated nobody really knew. I guess we just assumed typical high school lore. We just new it was a place were we could park our cars and drink without being harassed by police. Often we lit camp fires and hung out until late hours.
Anyway on the night in question a group of us (4) were planning to walk down the road from the closed sign to the bridge as we had always done before.
My friend at the time grabbed a pellet rifle out of the back of the car and I was carrying a four pack of
wine coolers in a brown bag. I believe someone else was carrying beer or more coolers.
As we approached the bridge between 10 PM and 11 PM walking down the road to the South of a was a tree line Behind the treeline was a pond and a little to the west the creek. As we approached the treeline around 100 ft -150 ft in front of us in the woods we suddenly heard something that nobody had ever heard before. It began almost laughingly like a hyena or dog and let out a blood curling wail that I can best describe as similar to some of the Ohio recordings. He fired his pellet rifle at the top of a fence post expecting something to fly away, but nothing happened. No movement in the trees. There was just a several seconds of silence and I have to tell you my heart was racing. I distributed wine coolers as fastly as possible so everyone had something in their hands to defend themselves and we hastily walked backwards not turning and running back to the car..and then sprinting the last stretch. It was the last time we went out there. Last year I sent a link to one of the Ohio recordings to one of my friends who was with us that night. I hadn’t spoken to him in years having to make contact through his brother. I also sent him a link to a call sound made by an owl having a similar vocalization. Ironically I was doing research on bigfoot as more or less a spectic when I noticed several reports in OK, KS, and MO all referring to a similar description in the BFRO database, which brought back memories. One individual described the vocalization similar to the Ohio Recordings and I explored the link and sure enough. I was convinced that is what we heard that night. I also heard that a certain type of owl could make a call some people said could be similar to the description so copied a link over to him of both sounds.. one the owl and the other the Ohio recordings to let him hear and compare what he thought he heard. I wanted to know if his opinion would be similar to mine. I will copy text over at his response:
OMG!!!!! the Ohio recording,,,,,, Chills,,, That’s it,,, the background stuff no,,,but the howl in the
background YES! The owl isn’t even close. There was a group of guys that I knew from Highschool who claimed they saw a bigfoot in Ernie Miller Park, which is about 1 mile East of where our sighting occurred. There incident was a year or two before ours. Also along a similar creek basin about 15 miles due South in Spring Hill I know a group of my great uncles where hunting at night years ago playing back animal noises from their truck and had rifles. They are all deceased now, but the story goes they were blaring recordings when they heard something that terrified them and left the area. I believe this happened on my grandparents farm, which sat back along Hillsdale Lake in KS. My uncle reports that he heard screams at night coming back behind the farm house that sounded like a woman screaming. Probably a cougar as there have been sightings in the area. I have noticed certain things like rabbit hides hanging in trees and animal fur/dead animals on top
of 6 ft bails of hay. Again something I have a general assumption of cougars.

I was 15 years old living with my Grand Mother in Columbus In. I
would walk to the small creek alone many times to go fishing, This one summer evening I had just
caught a large crappie as it was getting late and stayed to try to catch more, I did not have a stringer to tie the fish and layed it on the bank a put a flat rock on top of it. As I kept on fishing I was about 30 or so ft from a bridge, the moon was full and was my only light, I started to hear sounds like twigs breaking coming from the direction of the bridge, the sounds become more louder and I stated to become scared all though I did not see anything but could hear the noise. I picked up my fish and left and went to the top of the bridge and threw my fish line from there and continued , the bridge was not very high from the water, all at once a very large hairy dark animal ran out from under the bridge, I looked like a ape to me it had long arms and was running on two feet, It was making a lot of noise that scared me more ,Not vocal but hitting small trees and breaking them as it ran, I ran also. I did not even wind up my fish pole but ran with string dragging behind me. I lost the fish as I did not pick it up. I ran all the way home , I told my Grand mother She thought it was a bear. I never believed that it was a bear it did not look like
one to me

fireflies
Nearest Town or Landmark: north off Miltown on the Blue River
Description of Encounter Area: it was a little pebble beach on the inside of a bend in the river. Me
and some friends had camped there about a year before then. It has a high bank that the woods buts up
to the beach is about 25 ft wide by 60 ft long around the bend. at the bank there were tons of vines
hanging from all the trees and covering them where literally a million fireflies. They were all clustered in this one area. It was the most amazing sight truly beautiful.

the national park isn’t far from there and the forrest that follows the river

Encounter::

Number of Witnesses: 2 a girl named Misty and myself
Length of Observation: five minutes or so total
Animal Description: all I was able to see was the bottom of its foot as it kicked under the water after it
had entered the water behind us it was all very quick
Can Witness Provide a Sketch of Animal Seen?: Yes
Any Odor? If so, Description: don’t remember smelling anything bad like a stink or anything
Vocalizations Heard?: something that sounded like an owl, at the time I didn’t think anything of it. but
it could have been something on the other side of the river calling something back from where we were with all the all the fireflies we had been canoeing all day and were headed back to the car. being that we didn’t plan to be gone as long as we were we didn’t bring a flash light or lantern. My mistake I’ll never do that again. she had to go to the bathroom and i could have to i told her we would pull over at this bend int the river where i had camped before. when we got to it we pulled up and got out the were millions of fireflies covering this one large area of vines hanging from all the trees it was incredible. she walked a few steps off and I in the other direction and releaved ourselves. we both walked back to the canoe sitting on the river side and I was looking at the moon and she started to rub my shoulders I thought yes i might get lucky here in a minute if ya know what i mean.;-) when all of a sudden I hear something hit the beach and then enter the water woosh woosh splash like it had two legs not four. this was all about 15 feet behind us. by the time I spun around, at the slash all I was able to see was what looked like a large foot kick and then disappear under the water. we both stood there for a second looking at each other and saying what the f#@k was that? Then I thought we have to get out of here right now and the only way was the river and the canoe so we jumped in and started to paddle away very quickly. as we did something he impression that if it wanted to it
could have. It threw about five really big rocks in all lots of base when they hit the water so i know they where big and the bank on the other side was like 30ft away or more so it was stronger than a man and bears and bobcats don’t throw rocks. as we paddled away at top speed, whatever that is in a canoe I could here it follow us for two hundred feet or so coming through the woods, snapping branches as it followed us. eventually it quit following and we got back to the car and got the hell out of there

We were on a camping trip with a few friends. At 12 o’clock we decided to go to sleep.
At around one o’clock one of us (Mattieu) woke up because he heard something outside the tent. It was breathing heavily. He woke us up and we got out of our tent to see what was going on. Mattieu thought it was a bear, but when we had a better look, it wasn’t a bear but something much bigger! When he spotted us, he started walking away slowly while breathing heavily. We managed to take a picture, but by that time he was quite far away. One of our friends (Marlene) still has nightmares about the creature. Mattieu tried to tell people but whenever he did they would laugh in his face…

Well I was going by Beall Woods State Park in my car. A normal trip but one I really didn’t think I needed to go for a run this night. But I had to so I drove out to my site and that is where I saw him on Co Rd 1020 as big as life itself. I saw him for about a minute or two, it was at least 10′ tall and 60″ wide, he had two fingers missing from one hand because he kinda turned and shielded his eyes for a moment then as his eyes adjusted to the light of my car he looked at me and snarled bering his top teeth to me as if to say i am he now and you need to leave now as he turned and in one step he was gone in the corn stocks but i could still see his head as he walked away well just to say i have not been back there yet to check my lines
